Pt. 5 // Intangible Object

Becoming an empty window.

My American experience complicates itself when I realize it is impossible to retrieve the old “me” back. What I have previously thought true believed are much different from my everyday experience. I started contemplating what is “Chinese,” and what is “American,” and am I still being “Chinese.” It’s a painful removal. Looking at the panel that has everybody’s traces on it, I chose to remove them all. It becomes a picture frame that is now tangible and refuses to frame “things.” It is somehow now more open-ended, but it is more constraining in another way. . -Mengjiao
